Grief Yoga Description

What are you grieving? 2020 has been full of different kinds of loss, for all of us. There has been so much change. Losses may include grieving for loved ones, pets, a way of living, our freedom, safety, social opportunities, health and more.

During Grief Yoga we use yoga, movement, breath and sound to help release pain and suffering to reconnect to love.  We use grief as fuel for transformative healing. Collective Grief is empowering.  This class is an opportunity to release stress in a safe environment. No prior yoga experience is needed for this highly accessible practice which includes gentle movement, sound, and breath.


Ginney Hitchon

Ginney is certified through the 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago. She has also studied Yin Yoga, Trauma Yoga, Grief Yoga, Yoga for Veterans and Meditation. She is currently studying Energy Medicine Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga for Mental Health. Ginney has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years in both studios and private sessions.
